Bergen Offers New Wedding/ Event Planning Certificate

Through Bergen Community College’s Division of Continuing Education, Corporate and Public Sector Training, the College will offer a highly-requested new certificate program: “Wedding and Event Planning” at its main campus, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus. The program features a sequence of four courses (three 10-hour courses with four two-and-a-half-hour sessions and one, final, 15-hour course with six two-and-a-half-hour sessions): “Wedding Planning and Consulting;” “Wedding Planning and Consulting Part II;” “The Business Side of Wedding Planning and Consulting;” and “Having the Event Run as Smooth as Silk.”
Students who successfully complete all four courses will earn a certificate; courses may be taken individually as well. The first three courses are $195 and the final course is $250. All courses will convene Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. A complete schedule is listed below.
All courses will be led by an esteemed wedding planner. She will cover budgets, reception venues, negotiating contracts with vendors and all the components of organizing a successful wedding (engagement party, bar/bat mitzvah or other celebration).
