Today it seems that everyone knows someone with multiple sclerosis. Do you?

Dear Friend of the MS Center:

Multiple sclerosis generally strikes in the prime of life – between the ages of 15 and 60-and is the most commonly diagnosed neurological disease in young adults. The MS Center at Holy Name Hospital is New Jersey’s only state-licensed, non-profit facility providing healthcare and related services exclusively for MS patients and their families. Special events such as our upcoming fashion show help support our Charity Care Fund which helps those who are unable to pay for services on their own.
On Sunday, April 26th, 2009, the MS Center at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ will be hosting its 12th Annual Spring Fashion Fling and Luncheon for MS. Once again, it will be held at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, NJ. We are anticipating approximately 800 attendees with the return of our Honorary Chairperson, Mr. Chris Cimino, WNBC-TV meteorologist. Our guests will be treated to a four-course luncheon and fashion show with fashions provided by the fabulous Lord & Taylor. One of the highlights of the afternoon will be our auction where we plan to offer more than 150 fabulous prizes. Local businesses and friends of the MS Center donate all prizes and 100% of monies raised at this event go directly to patient care and research.

We hope you will consider supporting us by making a donation of product or service for our auction, providing merchandise for our goody bags (a great way of promoting a product or using a discontinued item) and/or sending a monetary gift. We also offer an Ad Journal for businesses or friends and Table Sponsorship, which includes 10 event tickets, 1 full-page ad in the Ad Journal and signage at your table (this is a great way to support the MS Center and treat your guests to a great day as well). When you donate products or services, or make a monetary contribution, you will receive a letter acknowledging the value of your gift for tax purposes. In addition, you and your company will be listed in the event program that will be distributed to all guests and donors.

A bad economy and restrictions imposed by managed care have left the MS Center at Holy Name Hospital in an extremely challenging financial position and our ability to provide care to our patients has been severely compromised. The MS Center is 501(c)(3) tax exempt, and the support of companies such as yours is vital for us to continue to provide comprehensive health care to people with MS. You can also help by passing this letter on to others that may be interested in supporting our wonderful facility or whose lives may have been touched by MS.

You can mail your contribution directly to the MS Center at the address above, attention of Lisa Futterman. Should you have any questions about this event, or the work that we do, please call me at 201-837-0727, ext. 3899 or email Futterman@holyname.org. Thank you so much for your support in our efforts to conquer multiple sclerosis.

Sincerely,

Lisa Futterman
Director of Development
