SIOR'S N.J. Chapter Has Successful Kick-Off Event in West Orange Which Focused on "Looking Forward to the Future"

The New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), recently hosted its Annual Kick-off/Award Dinner on January 28, 2009 at The Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, N.J. The theme for the evening was, "Looking Forward To The Future," and featured guest speaker Christopher J. Christie, Esq. former U.S. Attorney and Gubernatorial candidate, who spoke about some of his experiences in the U.S. Attorney's office.
He also discussed issues of importance to the commercial real estate community such as permitting, taxes, COAH and the overall New Jersey economy.
"The evening proved to be a success, allowing commercial real estate brokerage professionals in New Jersey the opportunity to discuss the current market fundamentals, forecasts and plans for the 2009 and to foster and cultivate valuable relationships," stated Kenneth D. Lundberg, SIOR, president of SIOR's New Jersey Chapter and senior vice president at NAI Hanson. "With a new year under way, this event proved to be a positive start to the challenging twelve-month period ahead of us. Having someone of Christopher Christie's caliber attend this event as our guest of honor was inspirational and greatly appreciated."
Twelve SIOR-NJ Chapter Brokers were also honored for significant transactions which took place during 2008.
