Paramus Sports prove to be NON-PARTISAN

Councilman Fred Hayo and former Council candidate Tommy LoCicero stood side by side urging Paramus residents to contact the Executive Director of the NJSIAA. They would like ALL residents to send an e-mail to Mr. Steven J. Timko requesting a re-alignment of the present route for Paramus High School sports teams. stimko@njsiaa.org and request an immediate change in the unwieldy route.
Assemblywoman Connie Wagner had taken up the issue with a letter read at the previous meeting. Mayor Tedesco joined in mentioning that Assemblywoman Joan Voss, State Senator Bob Gordon, the Mayor of Fairlawn along with the Fairlawn and Paramus attorneys and Superintendant James Montesano are combining efforts to affect a reasonable change in a route that forces the teams to travel long distances through Friday night traffic. This would involve curriculum changes and hardships, financial and physical, for the parents who would have to travel separately.
It is felt that by sending e-mails to stimko@nsiaa.org and stating the difficulties encountered by playing against strange teams with which there would be little further contact. The travel distance and time, it is felt, will have a devastating effect on our youth. By playing against teams within a reasonable local distance, better sportsmanship should develop.
Don't delay: send an e-mail now .. stimko@njsiaa.org
