Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s School of Radiography Earns Top Scores for a Second Consecutive Year


Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s School of Radiography has been ranked #1 in the United States by the 2008 American Registry for Radiologic Technologists after certification test scores revealed that the School’s 2008 graduating class achieved the nation’s highest test scores. This marks the second consecutive year that Englewood Hospital has achieved this distinction.

“We are extremely proud of our students and this recent achievement is indicative of their commitment to providing quality care in the future,” said Dan Markham, Vice President of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services at Englewood Hospital. “I am certain that this talented class will join the ranks of previous program graduates who have excelled in this very important healthcare service line.”

According to the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists, Englewood Hospital’s Class of 2008 achieved an average score of 91.4% in their certification examination, surpassing the national average of 84.6% and the New Jersey state average of 86.3%.

The School of Radiography at Englewood Hospital is accredited by the State of New Jersey of Department of Higher Education and Department of Environmental Protection and Energy, and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. The two-year program is comprised of both academic and clinical training to help students gain real-world experience prior to graduation. Over the past 25 years, Englewood Hospital graduates have successfully joined medical teams throughout our service area and beyond.
