Anthony Iacono As I Know Him
Some people regard the Paramus Borough Administrator as a tough person at his job. Others may regard him as putting up a false front. I regard Anthony Iacono as a friend, a man concerned with helping a cause, an ailing child, a person or a friend in need. Despite rumors to the contrary, Anthony is a hard working dedicated well educated individual.
At the Garfield Rotary Club, Anthony chatted with District Governor, Dominic Jengo, who was visiting, and Garfield club president Judy Messineo. Constantly monitoring his Blackberry during the entire trip, we arrived back in Paramus in time for his next appointment.
That night, he was at his post at the Mayor and Council meeting, a long, long day. I might add that he is working on a Fashion Show for Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club's fundraiser. Under Anthony's guidance, Paramus Sunrise has amazed many Rotarians with it's rapid rise in the 51 club District.
I am proud to call Anthony 'friend' and fellow Rotarian.
This past Tuesday is a perfect example of the reason for my esteem. After appearing at the Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club meeting at 8 AM where he serves as charter president, I met Anthony at 11 at the Boro Hall. He had volunteered to do the Paramus Rotary Club Meals On Wheels under the aegis of Kevin Behnke. This occurs on the 4th Tuesday of the month and despite the fact that we were due at the Garfield Rotary Club at noon, he insisted on performing his obligations.
