Meeting 04/07/09
Gene Yau of Asianteadepot.com was the speaker at the Paramus Sunrise Club meeting held at the IBEW Local 164 Training Center. Yau explained that certain teas should not be subjected to boiling water, but at a temperature of about 185 degrees. He referred to green tea and to white tea. All the rest should use boiling water.
Silver White Tea is the most expensive tea that he handles at Asianteadepot.com. It costs $150.00 per pound. Not only that, but supplies are diminishing because of therapeutic effects like anti-wrinkle creams which are being swooped up by medicinal manufacturers.
Gene discussed the therapeutic values of tea and mentioned that he deplores tea in bags. The reasons, you might ask. To start with, the leaves are contained in a white paper. Bleach is usually the ingredient to make paper white! One doesn't know the content, the mixture or the caliber of the leaves that the bag might contain. He likes to know what goes into his cup of tea.
For breakfast, for waking up, he recommends Black Assam Tea. For continued health. Green Tea in its many forms. Of course he has many varieties of tea for your health and taste. To learn, access www.asianteadepot.com where he shows his most popular choices for April along with pricing. The tea depot has a sampler package if desired.
In other business, President Anthony Iacono discussed the upcoming May 8th Fashion Show to be held on May 8th at the IBEW Local 164 Training Center at the corner of Century and Robin Roads. This will be Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club's major fundraiser. Gifts are needed as well as attendees.
