Hackensack University Medical Center Honors Volunteers

Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) will pay tribute to its more than 1,500 member volunteer force during a Volunteer Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 22, at 2:30 p.m. Nearly 150 volunteers qualified for the President’s Award for Lifetime Achievement, having completed more than 4,000 hours for the medical center.

 Select volunteers from Cresskill, Emerson, Hackensack, Hillsdale, Maywood, Montvale, Oradell, Paramus, Park Ridge, River Vale, Washington Township, Westwood, and Woodcliff Lake, will represent this group of exceptional volunteers, including Minnie Ferguson of Maywood, who has been with HUMC for 71 years. This year’s theme for National Volunteer Week is “Celebrating People in Action.”

The event will be celebrated in the Hekemian Auditorium, located in the Hekemian Conference Center on the medical center’s campus, at 30 Prospect Avenue in Hackensack.

Complimentary light refreshments will be served immediately following the brief ceremony.
