Rotaract Club of Paramus

Meeting every other Wednesday at Paramus Berkeley College Campus, this group of 18 to 30 year old people is planning ahead for activities and Community Service. President Sid Wilker had a printed agenda for the attendees and they promptly got down to business shortly after the 7 PM meeting time. There was added spirit caused by the return of Simon Li and the addition of two members.
Simon lives in Paramus, but attends college in NYC and lives there. He came in sporting his new fraternity jacket and mentioned how tough pledging for it was. That didn't stop him from getting right down to the swing of things. Good to have you back, Simon.
At the last meeting, Sam Grud and Meuricio Ramos attended for the first time. They returned for this meeting to join. Getting there a few minutes after 7, two boxes of pizza were on the table. I'm not sure, but I do believe that Sam brought them; a very welcome addition.
President Wilker reviewed the past discussions on Community Service projects, checked the progress made on those that were pending like the cleanup on Sprout Brook, Saturday, June 6th. Greg Lippert is checking for locations that the group would use to collect taxable items not covered by food stamps and donate them to the Paramus Department of Human Services.
Eric Perrotta is in charge of the Rotaract Canoe/Rafting/Kayaking trip on Sunday, May 31st. While adults and guests pay $5 for the whitewater trip on the Delaware, members of Rotaract have been given a special price of $25. The group received a briefing on some of the trip essentials and activities that take place along the route. It seems that everyone from the Rotaract Club of Paramus will be on the Delaware!
