Shopping At Fairway Market, Our Sponsor

Arriving early for a meeting about Rotary Gift of Life (GoL), I used the time to shop. Knowing from their online ad located in the upper left portion near our masthead, that cantaloupes were on sale, I made sure to secure one. Steak was also on sale at $3.99 a pound, but I didn't bring my cooler and I did have that meeting.
At the checkout counter, which goes very rapidly, Sulay, my cashier was kind enough to wrap the bars of soap that I bought in a separate bag so as not to have the odor permeate. Another convenience, someone put my order into my shopping cart. Passing the head cashier, I asked for a roll of quarters. Those washing machines and my neighbors seem to eat them up. The quarters came with a nice smile.
Delivering my purchases to my car, someone from Fairway was 'Johnny on the spot' offering to trundle my cart away.
Going back in the store for my appointment, we discussed Fairway's participation in Paramus' National Night Out on August 4th and Fairway's generous offer to dedicate the evening of Wednesday, August 12th to Rotary's Gift of Life program. More on that to follow. As they say " Stay Tuned! "
Of course I bought a few other items like kippered sardines and other canned sardines. I was actually after oatmeal, I usually use Quaker Oats. Not realizing that I was in the organic section, I bought a package of Old Wessex Irish Style all natural Oatmeal. Although I didn't need any, noticed that wheat germ was also there at what looked to be a reasonable price. It was!
