The Care Plus Foundation is hosting a backpacks/messenger bags and school supply drive for teens in Care Plus NJ’s Homeward Bound Program. The program provides case management services and valuable life skills training for teens aging out of the foster care system.
“These kids don’t have the financial ability to secure the items needed for a successful school year,” said Tara Augustine, Care Plus Foundation Executive Director. “Encouraging them to get their high school diploma is critical and by providing simple things like school supplies, we can give them a hand in reaching this important goal.”
Items needed: NEW backpacks/messenger bags, pens, pencils, eraser, correction fluid or tape, crayons/markers/colored pencils, stapler and staples, tape, glue, scissors, rulers, index cards, calculators, highlighters, Post-it notes, reinforcements, lined paper, soft pencil cases.
Donations can be dropped off at: Care Plus Foundation, 610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus, NJ 07652
For more information, contact Care Plus Foundation at 201-986-5070 or visit www.CarePlusFoundation.org.
