Bergen Community College Holds Annual Greyhound Adoption Day, Sept. 16

Representatives from Greyhound Friends of New Jersey Inc will visit Bergen Community College for the annual Greyhound Adoption Day on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the lobby of the L-wing, Pitkin Education Center, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn about ex-racing greyhound adoption. Representatives will answer questions about the breed and explain the adoption process.
Additionally, videos will be shown on racing greyhounds and their treatment.
The event's chair, Bergen assistant professor Harold Kahn, owns two ex-racing greyhounds and is a member of Long Island Greyhound Transfer. Greyhound Adoption Day is co-sponsored by the College's Office of Student Life and Department of Biology and Horticulture.
