Cold Stone Creamery locations offer free ice cream to help make wishes come true
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is partnering with Cold Stone Creamery® during the month of September for a fundraising celebration. Stores in New Jersey are working together to raise funds to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions throughout the Garden State. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has collaborated with Cold Stone Creamery since 2002, generating $3.2 million in donations.
Five-year-old wish kid Jack teamed up with Cold Stone Creamery’s Tastemaster™ Ray Karam to produce his own ice cream Creation to celebrate the alliance this year. Jack was named “Junior Tastemaster” as he made his special Creation with sweet cream ice cream mixed with brownie, sprinkles and fudge.
Throughout September, Cold Stone stores will sell paper wish stars for $1 each. The celebration will reach its peak with the eighth “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social” on September 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cold Stone locations will give away a 3-ounce portion of Jack’s Creation in exchange for a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“This monthlong fundraiser is a fun and easy way for everyone to get involved in granting a variety of imaginative and unforgettable wishes that will make a difference in the lives of so many children here in the Garden State,” said Tom Weatherall, Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey President and CEO. “Cold stone ice cream, children and wishes coming true create the perfect combination for a joyful experience.”
