Cipriano Landscape Design has awarded four scholarships totaling $10,000 to students at the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences Departments of Landscape Architecture and Plant Biology and Pathology. The Cipriano Landscape Design “Keeping It Green Foundation” scholarships are presented to encourage careers in the green industry & environmental stewardship, according to Chris Cipriano, CEO/Founder of Cipriano Landscape Design.
The Cipriano “Keeping It Green” Foundation promotes ecological sustainability and environmental stewardship through the study, development, preservation and promotion of landscape architecture and horticulture.
“Educating young people is clearly a priority for Chris, and this scholarship is just one of the ways he contributes to their advancement. Chris has been a pleasure to work with,” said Rachel Napier, Development Specialist, Office of the Executive Dean, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University. “He has worked closely with Rutgers interns at Cipriano Farms, teaching them the necessary skills to apply their classroom knowledge in the workforce. Chris has succeeded in inspiring with his dedication and commitment to give back to the industry.”
Cipriano's Keeping It Green Foundation encompasses scholarships, internships and workshops to promote environmental responsibility and was designed to foster eco-friendly practices. His goal is to collaborate with Rutgers as part of the program to develop activities that foster awareness for environmental conservation. The Cipriano Keeping It Green Foundation is the company's latest step in integrating environmental conservation into the company's everyday practices.
