Rick Springfield, legendary rock-pop musician, is expected to tear down the house at bergenPAC on Friday, November 6. Springfield, well-known for his catchy tunes and lyrics, has dedicated the majority of his life to his music. In his early twenties, he gained momentum with his music in Australia under two bands – Wickedy Wak and Zoot. Before leaving Australia, he landed a #1 spot for his single called “Speak to the Sky”.

Springfield’s hit single from Australia was transferred to the United States and caught America’s attention by reaching #14 on the Billboard charts. Three albums later, Springfield recorded and released his most notable single to date titled “Jessie’s Girl” that rocked the U.S. and stole the hearts of many Americans nationwide. It immediately reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went on to sell over 2 million copies alone.

“I’ve Done Everything for You” was his follow-up single that shot up to #8 on the billboards. He maintained his spot atop the charts with his other succeeding singles such as “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “What Kind of Fool Am I?”In 1982, Springfield received three Grammies in 1982 and 1983.  Springfield’s undoubtedly an influential figure in rock-pop history and has created a name for himself through his impressive musical styling and powerful beats.
