“We use natural greenery and garlands to enhance entryways and façades,” explained Tunis. “Decorating doorways and windows with greenery, and adding containers with seasonal plantings, provide a contrast to the starker landscapes we see this time of year.” Tunis suggests decorating with garlands, plants and embellished wreaths that thrive in cold weather.

Tunis points out that most greenery will last four to five weeks if it is cold outside, so it is ideal to decorate by the end of November or early December to ensure the greens still look fresh throughout the December holidays to New Year’s Day.
