A full day of FREE gift wrapping kicks off Westfield Garden State Plaza’s commitment to help Bergen County victims of domestic violence this holiday season. As part of Westfield’s 12 Days of Shopping Campaign, volunteers will wrap holiday gifts in the Lord & Taylor Court on Saturday, December 12. Shoppers simply present same day receipts and have two holiday purchases gift wrapped for FREE. Westfield Garden State Plaza will donate $500 to Shelter Our Sisters that day.
During the remainder of the holiday season, volunteers will be located at a booth near Santa to wrap gifts for patrons in exchange for a donation to Shelter Our Sisters. Helping hands are needed for this easy and fun way to help raise money to support SOS programs. Please visit www.shelteroursisters.org or call 201-836-1075 to find out about available dates and locations.
Shelter Our Sisters offers a diversified continuum of services that focus on attaining safety, empowerment and self-sufficiency for female and child victims of domestic violence. Life-saving programs offered to all residents of Bergen County include a 24-hour hotline, a confidential emergency shelter, five transitional homes, crisis counseling, case management, extensive children’s services, legal assistance, Hispanic outreach, financial literacy, work-readiness training, follow-up services, and community education.
