Paramus Sunrise Rotary Hears About Cutting Edge Technology

Sunrise Meeting 01-05-10 Shelley Johnson of SendOutCards was the featured speaker at the Tuesday morning Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club meeting. She was listed on our club site as talking about e-cards. She quickly corrected that! Rather than those electronic cards that are so prevalent, SendOutCards is a hard copy firm offering thousands of choices to its users.

Using her service, one can send out a printed card with their own message in less than 60 seconds. You can send out a postcard or a greeting card for a fraction of the cost of store bought cards. This can be done from the comfort of your home and computer thus affecting a savings in time and fuel.

After selecting a card and contributing the personalized message, a click sends it to SendOutCards where it is printed and mailed 1st Class within 24 hours. The advantage to this was strengthened when President Mukesh Malkan and the club realized that it was an inexpensive way to send out club reminders, birthday greetings and attendance reminders. Paramus Sunrise Rotary will be using SendOutCards services. Club Secretary Caryl Bixon-Gordon of Caryl Communications was assigned the care of this new service.

For further information, contact Shelley Johnson. shelleyj@sendoutcards.com or call her cellphone 551 255 6320.

In other club business, the upcoming Fashion Show on May 21st was planned under the leadership of President Elect Liz Mason of Children's Family Aid and Services. She pointed out that we need sponsors, advertisers, models and patrons.

Our next International Dinner Night will be on Thursday, January 21st at It's Greek To Me in Westwood. Father Peter Lekkas has promised us a delicious experience.
