Free Seminar Offers Continuing Education Credits to Licensed Attendees
Michelle Gidosh, MSW, LCSW, C-ASWCM, a therapist with Care Alternatives, will speak on “Complementary Therapies in Healing” on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck. The free seminar is open to area healthcare professionals who want to learn more about how non-traditional healing modalities can be applied in today’s healthcare setting. Certified or licensed social workers, certified care managers, nursing home nurses and assisted living administrators will earn two Continuing Education Units upon completion of the seminar. All attendees will enjoy dinner and a free massage. Registration for the event is from 5 to 6 p.m.; dinner and the program are from 6 to 8 p.m.
Gidosh will discuss how aromatherapy, reiki, guided imagery, reflexology and massage can provide comfort and aid in the healing process for people of all ages throughout their lives. Alternative treatments are often used to promote healing during illness or as an adjunct to conventional medical treatment, as well as preventive measures to promote overall well-being.
Heritage Pointe of Teaneck, a full-service rental retirement community, is located at 600 Frank W. Burr Blvd., in Teaneck, N.J. For more information or to RSVP for this event, call Heritage Pointe of Teaneck at (201) 836-9260.
