Bergen Community College/St. Thomas Aquinas College Sign Transfer Agreement

Bergen Community College and St. Thomas Aquinas College have signed an agreement to simplify the transfer process between the schools for criminal justice majors.
With the agreement, Bergen students graduating with an Associate in Science, Criminal Justice option will enter St. Thomas Aquinas’ Bachelor of Science, Criminal Justice program as juniors, pending their acceptance to the four-year school. As part of the agreement, Bergen graduates will have the St. Thomas Aquinas application fee waived. Students will take 55 credits at St. Thomas Aquinas before earning the B.S.
The agreement was negotiated with the guidance of Bergen professor Richard Kuiters and signed by Bergen Academic Vice President Dr. Gary Porter and St. Thomas Aquinas Provost L. John Durney.
Bergen has nearly 140 transfer agreements with more than 30 four-year colleges and universities and offers more than 40 A.A. and A.S. programs that allow students to transfer seamlessly to schools throughout the region.
Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu) based in Paramus is a public two-year coeducational college, enrolling nearly 17,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip J. Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields.
