Lewis & Clark Presentation at The Atrium

Author and Historian Peter Osborne recently presented to the residents of The Atrium a slide program of his trip following the maps of the Lewis & Clark Expedition of 1803-1806.

He also bought artifacts that would have been used on the trip such as buffalo skin and a hatchet. Peter also bought sweet nut bread, from a recipe of that time period, as a treat after the program.

Beth Stenftennegal, Atrium Activities staff member and Bridge instructor, and also Peter Osbourne's sister, enjoyed the program with all of the residents. Osbourne wrote a book called Lewis and Clark and Me, which is available in digital version at www.pienpack.com.

This program is one of the many cultural and educational programs offered at The Atrium, the independent living residence of The Allendale Community for Mature Living.
