Residents, Staff at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck Visit Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club

Presentation Shines Spotlight on Daily Life, Luxuries at Rental Retirement Community
Heritage Pointe of Teaneck residents, along with Saundra Pomerantz, director of community outreach and Donna Zayat, executive director at Heritage Pointe, recently visited a Paramus Sunrise Rotary meeting, highlighting life at the full-service rental retirement community.

Bordered by 46 acres of natural woodlands within the protected Teaneck Creek Conservancy, Heritage Pointe offers spacious private apartments in a four-story building. The community offers distinctive amenities such as housekeeping, 24-hour concierge, fine dining, social and cultural activities and local transportation.

“We at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck want our residents to move into their new home with us and stay with us,” said Pomerantz. “With our alliance of visiting doctors and nurses, our seniors can ‘age in place.’ That way, if necessary, residents can receive care in their apartments, and can avoid moving to an assisted living facility and adjust to a new home and new people all over again.”

Heritage Pointe also eases new resident’s anxiety of transitioning to a new home by recommending realtors to assist with the selling of their house. New residents are also announced after moving in, so seasoned residents can welcome them to the community.

“I began looking for a new home when I became unhappy with the community I was living in,” stated Anita Wolfe, who agreed to be a model in Paramus Sunrise’s Fashion Show on May 21. “When I took a tour of Heritage Pointe, I just knew this was where I would move to.”

The community regularly hosts social and recreational activities including resident selected trips, dance lessons, Tai Chi, movie matinees, trivia challenges, computer tutorials and Spanish classes. In addition, residents who have become friends since moving to Heritage Pointe have started walking groups and regular poker games.

“We enjoy the events the community hosts,” said resident Bill Rini, “but nothing compares to our poker games. We now play three times a week.”

“The food at Heritage Pointe is fantastic,” added resident Gerry Wagner. “The dinners are delicious and it’s great to sit and enjoy them in the dining room with everyone.”

“The community is a unique option compared to other offerings in the area,” stated Paramus Sunrise President Mukesh Malkan. “Our club looks forward to having dinner and visiting Heritage Pointe and their wonderful residents in the future.”

Heritage Pointe of Teaneck is located at 600 Frank W. Burr Blvd. in Teaneck, N.J. For more information about Heritage Pointe call (201) 836-9260 or visit www.RetireAtHeritage.com.
