New Ice Cream Place Opens: I Scream!

My Aunt Dee told me about this new ice cream place that opened up this weekend over in the old P&A Auto Parts store on Ridgewood Ave. After dinner tonight, I took the kids there for a treat. As I walked in the door, I looked behind and what do you know my old photographer was there. I say old because he worked for Kiddie Kandids at Babies R Us and as I’m sure you know that division of BRU was shut down in January. He was an amazing photographer.
So, I exclaim “Rob, it’s so good to see you- have you gone somewhere else” and he says “Yeah, I own this place!” I can’t believe my photographer owns the ice cream shop.
I bought the kids some ice cream- play doh and birthday cake flavors. Of course we enjoyed it. The place is adorable and very similar to an old fashioned ice cream shop. It has a checkered floor and a long counter with tons of ice cream flavors. Rob was telling me about a room they have in the back that they plan to make into a party room. Based on my experience with him, he would make an excellent kid’s party host.
Overall, we had a really great experience. Paramus has been lacking a local ice cream shop and I think we found our new favorite “treat” for the kids. I’m sure I Scream will be seeing a lot of especially over the summer.
I Scream is located on 59 East Ridgewood Ave in Paramus (201) 262-2699.
