Heritage Pointe of Teaneck will host a Holocaust Remembrance Tea on Sunday, April 11, at 2 p.m. The program, which is in honor of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) will be led by Rabbi Michael Goldin, spiritual leader of Chabad of Teaneck. Goldin will lead a prayer and candle lighting ceremony, and share a few words about the Holocaust. Attendees will be encouraged to share memories and thoughts with others. Coffee, tea and kosher desserts will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
“Some of our residents lived through the Holocaust and have shared their own stories, and everyone here certainly remembers that terrible time in history,” said Donna Zayat, executive director of Heritage Pointe. “As part of the Teaneck community, which has a large Jewish population, we wanted to honor this important day in a meaningful way for our residents and our neighbors.”
