Special workshop provides caregivers and first-responders with tips and tools to better care for their loved ones
Families of Loved Ones Magazine will host a special workshop for caregivers and first-responders on April 17th, 2010 from 1 pm to 6 pm at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. The workshop, “Building Resiliency: Preventing Burnout and Compassion Fatigue,” will feature Barbara Rubel, MA, one of the top authorities in the field of traumatic loss and compassion fatigue. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for this event by emailing tickets@cantwellmedia.com.
The mission of Families of Loved Ones Magazines is to engage, inform and support to the fullest, the families, friends and professionals who provide care for loved ones. In addition to providing practical tips and access to resources, Families of Loved Ones Magazine also shares personal stories of triumph over adversity to help encourage and uplift care providers.
Families, caregivers, advocates, nurses, first-responders (police & firefighters, animal rescue workers, victim assistance) and ALL involved with palliative care, psychology, disability services, social services, mental health, dental health, school counselors, pastoral care, eldercare and criminal justice are encouraged to attend this workshop.
A suggested donation of $20 includes entrance, parking and light refreshments. On-Site registration begins at 1:00pm.
