Bergen County Environmental Council Celebrates Earth Day

Dedicated to improving and maintaining the quality of water in our watersheds, The Bergen County Environmental Council (chaired by John DeRienzo, Mayor of Haworth) celebrated Earth Day 2010 planting trees at Van Saun County Park in Paramus, NJ.

In attendence were Bergen County Executive, Dennis McNerney; Joel Flagler, Rutgers Agricultural Extension Agent for Bergen Co; Angelo Caruso, Bergen Co. Soil Conservation Manager and Environmenal Resource Assistant, Scott Howard; along with students from this years Rutgers NJAES Master Gardener program.
