Heritage Pointe of Teaneck will host a free seminar presented by elder law attorney Frederick P. Niemann, Esq. and Home Care Assistance entitled “Medicaid Changes: The Approaching Storm” on Wednesday, June 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. The seminar is open to area social workers who are licensed as LSW, LCSW and CSW; and healthcare professionals with LNHA, CALA and nursing (RN, LPN) licenses. Participants will receive two Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit hours for attending; certificates will be given upon completion of the program and evaluations.
The presentation is designed to provide participants with a greater understanding of the financial requirements for Medicaid; how to recognize individuals who may benefit from “spend-down” strategies; and how to help clients plan for their futures based on their resources, care needs and the Medicaid programs available. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. and a free lunch will be served, courtesy of Heritage Pointe. The accommodations are handicap accessible.
