Medical Center receives six HealthGrades® and three J.D. Power and Associates® recognitions for clinical and service excellence
Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (englewoodhospital.com) today announced that HealthGrades®, one of the nation’s leading independent health care ratings organizations, and J.D. Power and Associates®, have recognized the Medical Center for clinical excellence and service excellence, respectively. These distinctions demonstrate the exemplary care provided by Medical Center physicians and staff and the outcomes in patient care.
HealthGrades®
Englewood Hospital is the recipient of six important quality distinctions including the 2009/2010 HealthGrades Maternity Care Excellence Award™. This designation places Englewood Hospital among the top 10% of all hospitals nationwide for clinical excellence in maternity care.
Englewood Hospital also received the HealthGrades® 5-star rating for the following:
• Maternity Care – seven years in a row (2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006/2007-2009/2010)
• Coronary Bypass Surgery (2010)
• Treatment of Heart Attack – two years in a row (2009 & 2010)
• Treatment of Pneumonia – eight years in a row (2003-2010)
• GI Procedures and Surgeries – three year in a row (2008-2010)
HealthGrades provides objective clinical quality ratings based on the outcomes of nearly every hospital in the country. These ratings are risk adjusted to account for differences in providers’ patient populations and are currently based on CMS Medicare data from 2006-2008.
