Bergen Community College Foundation Board of Directors members John Trobiano, of Oradell; Bob Dill, of Franklin Lakes; Phil Ciarco, of Lyndhurst; and Steve Duess, of Ramsey, have organized the Bergen Community College Foundation’s 12th annual Golf Classic that will take place Monday, June 14 at Upper Montclair County Club in Clifton. The event supports student scholarships such as the $161,000 that were recently given to 153 students at the Foundation’s annual scholarship ceremony.
“The Bergen Community College Foundation helps provide the means for a college education for hundreds of students each year,” Phil Ciarco, Golf Classic Co-Chair and Bergen Community College Board of Trustees member, said. “The Golf Classic is a cornerstone event that makes scholarships possible. It’s a hole-in-one for everyone involved – a great day out on the links for the golfers who are giving back to the community, and for the scholarship recipients.”
The Golf Classic will begin at 11:00 a.m. with registration and brunch; a shotgun start is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Golfers will compete on 18 holes for various awards and prizes, which will be distributed during a 5:30 p.m. cocktail reception, dinner and ceremony.
The field is limited to 150 golfer entries. Each entry is $450, which includes 18 holes of golf, brunch, cart, on-course refreshments, cocktail reception, dinner buffet, awards, prizes and all gratuities. For those who would like to attend the cocktail reception and dinner awards ceremony only, tickets are $100. Additionally, many sponsorship and advertisement opportunities are available. Please contact the Foundation at (201) 447-7117 to register or learn more about the Golf Classic.
