Soft Shell Crabs at The Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill If you like your fish just plain sautéed, don’t go to the Bonefish Grill. If you like flavorful fish cooked properly and enhanced by any of the several sauces available, you will be treated to a gourmet delight. Fellow foodie Sophie Stone and I went to the Bonefish Grill to try their soft shell crab dinner. Alas, we arrived after their season special was over and, instead, chose items from their regular menu. Host Arun Joshi, upon noting our sadness sent over some Maryland Crab Cakes for us to try. Needless to say, they disappeared down our gullets rather rapidly.

Sophie selected the Sea Scallops and Shrimp dish while I had a small order of the popular Chilean Sea Bass. Instead of telling you how delicious our entrees were, let me mention that both Sophie and I forgot to take pictures of the plate offerings before we tackled them. Of course we sampled each other’s platter and can attest to the savorful and beautifully presented offerings. We shared a large dish of vanilla ice cream for dessert and walked away well sated.

Arun, a member of the Paramus Rotary Club, promised to get up early one Tuesday morning and to attend the Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club that both Sophie and I are members. A pleasant chap, he checked our table several times to make sure that the food was properly cooked and served and that we were satisfied. Not only was the grilled fish properly prepared, but so were the greens side dish and the garbanzo beans (chick peas) which were prepared in a manner that was new to both of us.

Let me say that neither Sophie nor I are well trained restaurant reviewers. We just know the food that we enjoy! We enjoyed our dinners at the Bonefish Grill.
