Englewood Hospital is Home to the More New York Magazine “Best Doctors” than any other New Jersey hospital

Thirty physicians from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center have been named among the very best in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area as part of New York magazine’s 13th annual “Best Doctors” issue (June 14 – 21). The publication lists 1,119 physicians in 66 medical specialties. In New Jersey, Englewood Hospital leads the 2010 list with more “Best Doctors” practicing at the Medical Center than at any other hospital in the state.

New York magazine’s “Best Doctors” list is an abbreviated version of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors guidebook and provides metro-area consumers with information about top medical providers (as chosen by their peers) in a variety of medical specialties. The doctors on this abbreviated list represent the top 2 percent of New York/New Jersey-area physicians, as determined by Castle Connolly.
Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.’s Top Doctors: New York Metro Area™ guidebook is considered an authoritative guide for healthcare consumers in search of top-notch providers. Doctors selected for inclusion in the guidebook are nominated by other medical professionals.
To select the doctors for its guidebook, Castle Connolly distributes 12,000 nomination forms to medical professionals in the tri‐state area. Recipients are asked to nominate those physicians who excel in their field and related fields and exhibit excellence in patient care, and to whom they would send members of their own family.
