With perfect weather, the Santa Monica beach as a backdrop and crowds overflowing onto the beach, the first-ever PacSun Summer Solstice Beach Ballyhoo was a wild success. Taking over the entire north side of the Santa Monica pier, the PacSun Beach Ballyhoo summer kick off event was held June 19th- 20th. The hype surrounding this two-day event had excited fans lining up hours before the beachside bash opened.
Day one kicked off with crowds packing the grounds to catch AWOLNATION
Bad Rabbits and Ra Ra Riot with other highlights including a raucous set from Yelawolf and Minus the Bear. But things reached a fever pitch when crowd favorites Circa Survive took the stage. As an additional 3,000 fans spilled onto the beach to catch the set, Philly native and lead singer, Anthony Green worked the stage with loyal fans chanting along to every song.
Event attendees were especially pumped to see the Quiksilver Presents the Tony Hawk Skate Jam. The chance to see legendary
skateboarder Tony Hawk brought the crowds out in droves, as they were treated to a high energy vert session also featuring skateboaders Lincoln Ueda, Sergie Ventura, Jesse Fritsch, Kevin Staab, Neal Hendrix, and bmx rider Simon Tabron.
Reaching capacity during both days, the PacSun Beach Ballyhoo was a massive hit
