ACCSES New Jersey/CNA Presents Award to Care Plus NJ for Their Ground-Breaking Work in Creating Training and Employment Opportunities for the Disabled and Economically Disadvantaged
Care Plus NJ Workforce Solutions, a non-profit organization offering business tracks dedicated to the employment of the disabled and economically disadvantaged under the social enterprise model, today announced that it has been awarded the Outstanding Community Rehabilitation Program Award from ACCSES NJ/CNA. This is ACCSES’s highest honor. ACCSES is a pioneering association that champions community rehabilitation programs and assists them in obtaining contracts for goods and services from state government agencies.
ACCSES/CNA’s Outstanding Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) award is presented annually to the CRP that has had the most positive impact in their community and has proven they are a leader in finding new and better ways of bringing the community together to put the disabled to work. CNA has been providing products and services to government agencies for over twenty years and has a network of CRPs that provide everything from janitorial supplies and fulfillment services, to comprehensive document imaging services.
Care Plus NJ Workforce Solutions is a part of Care Plus NJ, one of state’s most successful Community Rehabilitation Programs. The agency is a leading provider of comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services in Northern New Jersey. Care Plus is well known for its entrepreneurial approach. It’s first such venture was the creation of Care Plus Laser Imaging. Under this business, the agency is a major supplier of laser printer, fax, and copier toner cartridges. Laser Imaging was created out of a desire to provide competitive employment opportunities for individuals with mental illness. In addition to Laser Imaging, the agency operates Care Plus Janitorial Services and Care Plus Laundry Services. The three tracks employ approximately 45 disabled individuals on an annual basis.
