Aug. 17: Allendale Community For Mature Living To Host Rotary Event

Meet and Greet Buffet Dinner, Presentation by State Official Open to the Public
The Allendale Community for Mature Living will host a meet and greet event in honor of the new Allendale/Saddle River Rotary club on Tuesday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting, which will feature a buffet dinner, is open to the public and area Rotarians are encouraged to attend.
Reservations are required, as seating is limited. The evening’s guest speaker will be Christina Genovese, director of business affairs for the Office of the Governor.
Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary Club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation and job training, promote peace and eradicate polio under the motto “Service Above Self.”
The new Allendale/Saddle River Rotary club has already begun several projects, which include providing temporary living quarters to the earthquake victims of Haiti, establishing a recreation program for low income seniors in Paterson, and assisting a burn victim from Poland. The club meets weekly at 8 a.m. on Wednesdays at Savini Restaurant in Allendale.
