Bergen Community College Student Reappointed to State Committee on Financial Aid

Bergen Community College student Yoel Weisshaus, of New Milford, has been reappointed to serve on the Student Advisory Committee of the state’s Higher Education Student Assistance Authority. The authority provides information on collegiate financial aid programs for students and their families. On the student advisory committee, Mr. Weisshaus will provide a student-perspective on financial aid programs, serving as an intermediary between New Jersey college students and the authority’s board members.
Mr. Weisshaus served his first term on the committee during the 2009-10 academic year.
A business major, Mr. Weisshaus serves on Bergen’s Student Government Council and College Council. Additionally, he holds rabbinical certification and is a member of Jewish community organizations such as the Union of Rabbis and Ichud Harabonim, which enhances Jewish education.
