Paramus’ Democratic Dream Team
My friend Rich LaBarbiera invited me to a Democrat rally at Vici Cucina Italiana Restaurant in Lodi. When the Democratic candidate for Mayor invites you, it is quite an honor. When you have a chance to visit a restaurant that is new to you, that’s another honor. It gave me a chance to get acquainted with his running mates, Councilman Rich Conte and candidate Pat Verile. Not that either is a stranger to me, but it offered a chance to see the candidates in a different atmosphere. It was a good experience!
NJ State Assemblywoman Connie Wagner was there along with Rich, her husband. Always a charmer, she introduced many of the dignitaries there including Freeholder Chair James Carrroll and VIce Chairwoman Elizabeth Calabrese, several Mayors and of course, Paramus Mayor James Tedesco. The latter then took over and not only introduced, but lauded Pat Verile, Rich Conte and acclaimed Rich LaBarbiera as the next Mayor of Paramus.
The group of supporters included Peter Camminiti, former Councilmen Mike Blitzstein, Fred Hayo, Denis Niland and Lou Romano, former Board of Education President Mario Sicari, Rich Conte’s father and mother, Teri Romano among the approximately one hundred attendees.
Very interesting was the way that the candidates kept coming around checking on the wellbeing of the attendees. While LaBarbiera was the most prominent, would you believe that candidate Pat Verile not only asked, but delivered a soda to my table!
The food was good; if you are interested: Vici Cucina Italiana - Lodi, NJ.
