Property Manager Honored for Contributions to City's Ongoing Revitalization
Matrix Development Group, one of the Northeast's most active and well-regarded real estate investment and development companies, has announced that property manager Michele Cade has been awarded the prestigious Valuable Service Award for her work with New Brunswick City Market.
New Brunswick City Market is the not-for-profit management company that oversees the Downtown Business Improvement District for the City of New Brunswick. The organization provides specialized services to member business owners, such as graffiti removal, clean streets program, landscaping and maintenance of the George Street corridor and Albany Street, as well as event planning and business promotions to help drive traffic to the downtown through promotion and advertising of New Brunswick as a premier destination.
As the property manager for two Matrix properties located in New Brunswick, Cade has spent the past seven years with the New Brunswick City Market, most recently serving on its Executive Committee for the past four years. The organization's Valuable Service Award is presented to those members of the New Brunswick City Market that provide invaluable service and leadership to City Market and its forward vision.
"During her tenure, Michele was an active support system with our programs and events and has been a major contributor to the organization's success, serving an instrumental role in strengthening City Market's relationships with local organizations such as Elijah's Promise and the local businesses that occupy Matrix's buildings in New Brunswick," said Pamela Stefanek, Executive Director of New Brunswick City Market. "It is through the dedication of people like Michele that New Brunswick continues to flourish as one of New Jersey's foremost destination cities."
Matrix's New Brunswick properties - Plaza I and Plaza II - are located in the heart of the city's downtown redevelopment area and urban enterprise zone, offering immediate access to routes 18, 27 and 9 with entrance and exit ramps for the New Jersey Turnpike. Plaza I is a free-standing, six-story mixed-use development featuring open floor plans that can be adapted to tenant requirements. The building has undergone extensive remodeling including lobby, common area and façade renovations. Plaza II is a five-story, 110,000-square-foot mixed-use building featuring a recently renovated lobby and common areas and a brick and reflective glass exterior.
Both buildings are fitted for both office and retail tenants and have space available for rent divisible up to 24,000 square feet.
"Matrix has and continues to be deeply committed to New Brunswick and takes great pride in having one of our own recognized for her efforts to further the city's mission of providing the local business community with services that improve their operations," said Joseph S. Taylor, president and CEO of Matrix. "Michele's involvement in New Brunswick City Market is a great example of our company's dedication to giving back to the communities in which we do business."
