Mahwah, NJ – Temple Is-Hindu Samaj Mandir is planning a community-wide celebration of Indian Heritage Day on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 12-6 p.m. The festivity, which is open to the public, is a tribute to the best of Indian culture. Temple Is-Hindu Samaj Mandir is located at 247 West Ramapo Avenue in Mahwah NJ.
The authentic Indian celebration will feature a delectable sampling of foods and desserts from Northern and Southern India. Carnival games, astrology readings, portrait artists, Henna specialists, and Bollywood-style cultural dances are all part of the entertainment planned. Additionally, Indian cosmetics and hand-crafted jewelry will be available for purchase.
