R&S Landscaping & Backyard Living Continue Seminar Series With 'Floral Design: Dried & Permanent Botanicals Inspired by Nature' and 'Hands-On Pruning: Fall' In New Jersey, fall is perfect for spending time outdoors -- the weather is pleasant and the colors are beautiful. As part of their ongoing seminar series, local companies R&S Landscaping and Backyard Living are planning two events that will help homeowners and gardening enthusiasts prepare for the season.
Following months of well-attended events, the companies will offer two more free seminars in September:
• Sept. 15: Floral Design: Dried & Permanent Botanicals Inspired by Nature - Discover floral design inspired by the colors and landscape features of the season.
• Sept. 29: Hand-On Pruning: Fall (4 p.m.) - Focus: Clean-up, dividing perennials, after-bloom, thinning and winter prep.
"These free seminars have something to offer gardeners of every skill level -- from beginner to advanced," stated Robert Schucker, president of Midland Park, N.J.-based R&S Landscaping. "Topics are designed to give homeowners the tips and tools they need to create beautiful, environmentally responsible and cost-effective projects all year round."
Part of a series that will run through November, the seminars offer attendees the unique opportunity to ask experts questions about their personal projects and to work side-by-side with others that share their passion.
Seminars are held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Backyard Living, 235 Franklin Avenue in Ridgewood, unless otherwise noted. Select events will have small material fees or will take place at off-site venues to offer attendees the prime location for more intricate seminars.
All the seminars are free, but pre-registration is required and some materials fees apply as noted above. To register, please call R&S Landscaping at 201-447-6205 or Backyard Living at 201-689-9111. Register online at www.backyardlivingnj.com, where you can also find the full schedule of 2010 seminars.
