Rochelle Park Police Report Second Car Burglar Arrested

The second suspect in a car burglary spree was apprehended on September 9th. The arrestee, Joshua Sanchez age 20 of Maywood, fled the scene on September 7th, while his partner was taken into custody. Det. Jim DePreta and Det. Lt. Bill Flannelly developed Sanchez as a suspect and issued warrants for his arrest.
Information was obtained that Sanchez was an employee of the Rochelle Park Shop Rite. Det. DePreta conducted surveillance in conjunction with Shop Rite security. On 9/9/10 at approximately 3:15 pm, Sanchez reported to the Shop Rite to pick up his paycheck. He was indentified on surveillance cameras and taken into custody by Det. DePreta. It is believed that Sanchez and his accomplice, Immanuel Lee, are responsible for many car burglaries throughout Bergen County. Both are currently housed in the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Police again urge all residents to secure all vehicles.
