Cliffhanger Productions Announces East Rutherford Columbus Day Parade and Festival October 2-3, 2010

PARADE WILL BEGIN AT NOON ON SATURDAY
Cliffhanger Productions will be producing the East Rutherford Columbus Day Festival and Parade in association with the East Rutherford Chamber of Commerce and the Borough of East Rutherford. This two-day event will be held on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, on Union and Railroad Avenues and will showcase over 150 local merchants, organizations, plus many of the tri-state area's premier antique, craft, and collectibles vendors.

FESTIVAL ENTERTAINMENT
There will be musical entertainment on two stages. The headline performers for the main stage will be NJ's #1 DooWop/Oldies band, The Cameos, The Benjamins, Trailer Park Mafia, and a special appearance by local American Idol Ashley Hollister, and others to be announced. The main stage will be located off Union Avenue between Strong and Shapely Gym and the Railroad Café. The entertainment stage will feature an array of talent - from magicians to an interactive costume character revue and solo musicians plus Zumba dancing and a meatball eating contest. There will be rides for the kids, including T-Rex inflatable Jurassic Park Obstacle Course, Bungee Trampoline, The Spinner, as well as lots of walkaround street performers. Bring your appetite as there will be plenty of great festival foods, including sausage and peppers, gyros, pizza, hot dogs, clams on the half shell, fried shrimp, Arancini (Italian rice balls), zeppoli, kettle korn, cotton candy, ice cream, crepes, old fashioned soda, and much, much more.
