The Atrium at The Allendale Community for Mature Living Hosts Fall Food Drive to Benefit Mahwah Center for Food Action

Individuals and Local Organizations can Drop Off Non-perishables Through Nov. 17
The Atrium at The Allendale Community for Mature Living is hosting a Fall Food Collection Drive throughout October and November to benefit the Mahwah Center for Food Action. Non-perishable food items, including canned, boxed and dry goods, are now being accepted from individuals and local organizations.
Among the most needed products are canned meat (tuna and chicken), hearty soups, vegetables and fruit; macaroni and cheese; peanut butter and jelly; cereal, including low-sugar varieties for children; dry or boxed milk; jarred sauces; instant potatoes; 100-percent juice; baby formula and diapers sizes 4, 5 and 6; bar soap; toothpaste and toothbrushes; nutritional drinks; and supermarket gift cards. Additionally, paper products, personal care items and cleaning supplies are welcome.
“Fall is the season of giving, and the residents at The Atrium have a strong desire to help make a difference in the lives of others, especially those who are finding it difficult to provide meals for their families,” said Mary Stampleman, ADC, Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Community Relations at The Atrium. “Each year, The Atrium hosts an annual food drive as one of our many planned outreach activities that help our neighbors.”
The Atrium at The Allendale Community for Mature Living is conveniently located with private driveway access off of Route 17 South at 85 Harreton Road in Allendale, N.J.
