Paramus Sunrise Rotary's First Meeting Of The Year
By Mel Fabrikant Tuesday, January 03, 2012, 11:16 AM EST
Meeting 01-02-12 With no speaker scheduled, President Gary Spivak held an informal meeting also known as a Roundtable. Although attendance was low, there were three visitors including a visiting Rotarian from the Allendale Saddle River Club and two guests. It was fortuitous that Bob Traitz chose to do a makeup with us because he helped explain Rotary to the two guests and the two incoming members. Bob has over fifteen years of Perfect Attendance and was able to clarify attendance requirements.
A couple of members sent in regrets about not being able to attend due to illness and travel. One of the incoming members, Bob Sherwood, informed the group about our Holiday International Dinner held at Boomerangs in Hackensack. Set up by member Trevor Albertine, the dinner proved to be a convivial success. The club is now working on their next International Dinner which potentially will be held at Harold's New York Deli Restaurant located in the Quality Inn Meadowlands in Lyndhurst, stay tuned!
The club's 50/50 drawing will be held at their meeting place, Doctors Express, 67 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus on January 17th. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets contact President Gary Spivak willitplay@gmail.com . In addition, work is now beginning on the club Fashion Show to be held in May at a new location.
The speaker at the January 10th meeting will be County Freeholder David Ganz who has a myriad of subjects to draw on.
