We Tuck Our Children Into Bed At Night And Say Sweet Dreams - What If You Didn’t Get To Say Good Morning?

Zachary’s dream is now coming to fruition and Zach’s Stadium is moving full force ahead! “The EPA and the New Hampshire DES have OK'd our plan to clean up the site to get ready for ground breaking. We officially have the GREEN LIGHT!” states Necole Tompkins, Zach’s mom and founder of the Zachary M. Tompkins Memorial Fund.
Healthy and athletic, eleven year old, Zachary Tompkins went to bed on March 7, 2010, as all children do. His mom went to wake him for school the next morning and found every mother’s nightmare. Zachary had passed during the night unexpectedly. As his two brothers looked on, his mother tried CPR but Zachary had passed hours before from an unknown cause. It was later learned that Zachary had passed from an undetected genetic heart disease Long QT.
Just 2 weeks prior to his passing, Zachary made a ceramic plate on which he wrote “Zach’s Stadium – Home of the Hudson Litchfield Bears”. Zachary wanted to build a stadium when he grew up. Unfortunately Zachary himself will not have a chance to make his dream come true. But we can!
The Zachary M. Tompkins Memorial Fund (a 501(c)3 Corporation) was founded just one short month after Zachary’s passing on March 8, 2010. In the thirty months since Zachary’s passing, they have raised over three hundred thousand dollars and the Town of Hudson, NH, generously has donated thirteen acres of land for this incredible project.
It is with great excitement that the “Zach Fund” would like to announce “Zach’s Stadium - Ground Breaking Ceremony”. The ceremony will take place October 26, 2012 at 8:30am at 9 Industrial Drive, Hudson, NH 03051 – the future site of Zach’s Stadium.
New Hampshire Governor Lynch, along with Congressman Bass, Laurel Bisteny (REDC major
funding source), N.H. state representatives and many more will be on hand at the ceremony.
New Hampshire has never seen a project like this! The children will have a new safe place to play football and contaminated town land will be decontaminated without any taxpayer money.
