“The truth is, things matter. They have to. They’re what we live with and touch each and every day. They represent where we’ve been, who we’ve loved, and where we hope to go. They make us happy, and I can’t think of a more beautiful way to live than that.”
– Nate Berkus
About THE THINGS THAT MATTER (On Sale October 16)
Nate’s always believed your home should tell your story; that what you love most and what you hold dear should be what you live with each and every day. In 8 years of makeovers on Oprah and then with his own show, he’s shown that what we live with matters. Our things are how we bring meaning into our homes. This book is Nate’s way of giving each of us permission to live with what we love and celebrate the very things that help us tell our story. Each chapter features a person and their home, with Nate using what they live with to tell the story of who they are.
Not your typical how-to or get-the-look-for-less design book, THE THINGS THAT MATTER is Nate’s visual manifesto giving us all permission to live only with what we love and what says the most about us.
