Paramus Police Report Jewelry Stolen; Jewelry Recovered, Case Solved!

Carlos Garcia
On October 2nd, a resident of Morningside Rd in Paramus reported to police that she had several items of jewelry taken from her home. She continued to report that she had some work done inside the home, and suspected that the individuals performing the work, would have had access to where the jewelry was located. She reported that several rings were missing.

Through investigation, Paramus Detective Thomas Schroeder identified the workers who were in the home and, with the assistance of the home owner, was able to solicit cooperation from one of the workers.

On October 15th a suspect was identified as 25 year old Carlos Garcia of Palisades Park, who reportedly admitted to the theft of three rings from the Paramus home to one of his fellow workers.

On October 17th a meeting was arranged with Paramus Detectives and the suspect, who was arrested without incident. He was charged with one count of third degree theft and released on bail pending court appearance. The rings were recovered and returned to the home owner.
