The First Meal of The Thanksgiving Season At Trinity Presbyterian Church

Trinity Church, Paramus After the service at which the Reverend Doctor Samuel M Stone officiated, there was a Thanksgiving meal provided by members of the congregation. Not only was there good food, but it was an excellent opportunity for the congregants to meet, eat and greet. The camaraderie at this church raises it high! The members enjoy these repasts where they get to savor homemade foods and beverages as well as mouthwatering desserts.
Trying to watch the waist at these functions is useless because the various foods are so tempting. They represent the mixed background of the church goers and the food blends in as well. There was turkey and cranberry sauce, beef, a ham, sweet potatoes, salads, pasta dishes and food of the Orient. Just trying to sample everything demanded walking away with a heaping plate. Seconds were available, but firsts were more than adequate. At the beverage table, in addition to coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sodas was a heated homemade cider with apples and oranges in the cider. That disappeared fairly rapidly!
Of course there was a dessert table at which pies, muffins and cookies were there for the eating. They were eaten!
This being the third Sunday of the month, members of Trinity Presbyterian Church led by Dr. Stone went over to DellRidge Nursing Home to conduct afternoon worship. Another aspect of the community minded church!
