K Of C Annual Charity Beefsteak Dinner, December 7

Mother Seton Council #5427 Knights of Columbus has set Friday, December 7, 2012, as the date for an “All-You-Can-Eat” Christmas Beefsteak Dinner at its hall, 79 Pascack Road, Township of Washington. The $75 price per person covers appetizers, dinner, open bar, music, prizes, and more from 7:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. Proceeds will go to charity. All reservations must be made in advance. Tickets may be purchased in the Members Room at the rear of the property, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., or at the door on the day of the event.
The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut, by Fr. Michael J. McGivney. It is the world’s largest Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization with over 1.8 million members in some 13,700 local councils in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam, Guatemala, Panama, the Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Saipan and Poland. It is dedicated to Church, community, family, and youth programs. Last year individual Knights spent 69 million hours of volunteer services to charitable causes and the Order donated $151.1 million in charitable contributions. Additionally 413,402 Knights were blood donors. The New Jersey Knights donated $4,568,772 to charities last year.
