West Brook Students and staff members were encouraged to come to school in their pajamas and make a donation on Friday, November 16, 2012. In a District Wide effort, the school community was encouraged to participate in a very worthwhile fundraiser, “Project Sandy”. This District Wide unification activity was well received by West Brook students in all grade levels. All of the money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross, in support of their relief efforts. A fun way to support and raise awareness that neighboring communities are still reeling with the aftermath of Mega storm Sandy.
A continuing effort to help other school districts in need throughout South Jersey will be organized after the Thanksgiving Break. A special presentation with specific information will be conveyed to the West Brook school community and is expected to be well received.
