Food was catered by Fairway Market and was well received. A great selection, there was too much food left over so it was divided among the party attendees and left over for the residents of the Walter Behnke Senior Housing Complex where the function was held. Members Sophie Stone and Tina Apprich took care of the party necessities while Malkan played Santa later on and distributed gifts to all from a grab bag.
The holiday spirit prevailed since President Joe Castelano and Jennifer, his wife, brought their three youngsters to the party bringing joy to the adults. It being Hemish Kapedia's birthday, nothing would do, but to toast him with a Happy Birthday song performed by all present.
Loula Karapiperis and Mike, her husband, dropped in before heading out to Long Island for a family celebration. Loula of CKO Paramus Kickboxing fame came in second in the recent crumb cake fundraiser sale. Castelano came in first. The club is donating the proceeds from that sale to the Paramus Food Pantry where needs have skyrocketed.
Others in attendance were Cathy Perry and her husband, Bob and Karen Sherwood , Rich Wagner and Paramus Sunrise Social Committee Chair Janet Pomante.
